Dental treatment in Ukraine if you live abroad

Updated 2026-11-03 · Author: Dmytro Kobozev, restorative dentist, head doctor

Ukrainian dentists are bringing their patients back to Ukraine: people who moved abroad come home for treatment with a dentist they know. Patients from different countries come to Houston, and the goal is almost always the same — to get as much done as possible during a short trip. Here is how we plan it.

Why people return to their own dentist

There are usually three reasons. The first is trust: a dentist you know explains things in your own language and sees your treatment history. The second is price: treatment in Ukraine usually costs less than where people live now. The third is convenience: treatment can be arranged over several consecutive days. The clinic is open every day, including Sunday.

How we arrange it — on the page for patients from abroad.

What to do next

If this sounds like your case, it is better to show it to a dentist now: most problems are simpler and cheaper to fix early. Consultation with a specialist — UAH 690: examination, an X-ray if needed, a plan and prices in hand after one visit. We see new patients within 1–2 days.

What to send the dentist before you come

The most useful is a CT scan or a panoramic X-ray. If you have no images, photos of your teeth in daylight and a short description will do: what bothers you, what has been treated and when.

You can send them to the Telegram bot, via Viber or to clinic@houston.dp.ua. From these, the dentist will draw up a preliminary plan and an approximate cost. The final plan and price are given after the examination, before treatment starts: not everything is visible on an image.

If you have no scan at all, a CT can be done on the day you arrive at our diagnostic centre Houston 3D. Why it is needed before treatment — in the article why have a dental CT scan.

What can be done in one trip

In one trip people usually manage:

We book visits back to back so treatment does not stretch over weeks: Mon–Sat 9:00–19:00, Sunday 10:00–18:00.

What needs two trips

Implants. An implant takes 3–6 months to integrate, and only then is a crown placed on it. So it is two trips: the first to place the implant, the second for the crown. More — how much an implant costs.

Crowns and veneers. Two or three visits over two to three weeks: the tooth is prepared and scanned, the crown is made by the lab, then it is fixed. How it goes — in the article how a crown is placed.

Braces. Check-ups with the orthodontist are needed throughout treatment — worth discussing at the consultation if you visit rarely.

The dentist will tell you the exact number of trips and days after the examination or in advance, based on your images.

How much it costs

Prices are in hryvnias; the full list is on the prices page. A few reference points:

Anaesthesia is included in the treatment price. For patients who live abroad, treatment in Dnipro usually costs less than where they live. If you have a monobank card, treatment can be split into 3–25 payments with no overpayment through the bank's instalment service.

We give the exact amount after the examination and before treatment starts — so you know the budget for your trip in advance and do not find out about extra costs in the chair.

Documents in English

Ask for the treatment plan, a medical summary and the images in English — we prepare them. If anything is needed after you return, a dentist abroad will see what was done and how.

Accommodation and safety

We will suggest accommodation near the clinic (13 Vykonkomivska St, next to CASCADE Plaza) and help with a transfer. Let us know your travel dates in advance.

During an air raid alert we do not start a new stage of treatment. In case of serious danger we move to a closed windowless room inside the clinic. After the all-clear, you can continue the same day or reschedule.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a treatment plan before I arrive?

Yes. Send a CT scan, a panoramic X-ray or photos of your teeth — the dentist will draw up a preliminary plan and an approximate cost. The final plan and price are given after the examination at the clinic, before treatment starts.

How many days should I plan for the trip?

It depends on the treatment. An examination, hygiene, caries and root canal treatment usually fit into a few days. Crowns need two to three weeks, implants — two trips 3–6 months apart.

Will you give me documents in English?

Yes: we prepare the treatment plan, a medical summary and the images in English — for your dentist abroad.

Is the clinic open at weekends?

Yes, every day: Monday to Saturday 9:00–19:00, Sunday 10:00–18:00.
