Does placing an implant hurt?
The operation is done under local anaesthetic. You feel no pain — only pressure and vibration. Afterwards there is moderate discomfort for two or three days, easily managed with painkillers. Most patients are surprised: "I was afraid for nothing."
What if it does not integrate?
With the correct protocol the risk of failure is under 2%. We plan the operation carefully from the 3D CT scan and check the bone and the patient's general health. Every implant we place carries a 100% warranty.
What if there is not enough bone?
That is what a sinus lift and bone grafting are for. It is a planned stage, not a complication. We assess the volume of bone on the 3D CT scan and tell you in advance — no surprises during surgery.
How long will it take?
A single implant: 40–60 minutes of surgery, 3–6 months to integrate. All-on-4/6: 2–4 hours of surgery, with a temporary bridge the same day. You leave the clinic with teeth.
It is expensive — do you offer instalments?

How will I look afterwards?

Dental implants at the Houston clinic start from UAH 11 900. More complex protocols (All-on-4, All-on-6) are quoted individually after a 3D CT scan. You receive the exact price and a treatment plan at your first consultation.
If the tooth is still there but cannot be saved, we remove it and place the implant either immediately or later. In some cases (the immediate-loading protocol) the implant goes in on the same day as the extraction, which shortens the overall treatment.
With proper care and regular professional cleaning — for life. A titanium implant cannot decay. The crown wears with time and may need replacing after 15–20 years, which is normal. The implant body itself is not replaced.
Smoking substantially raises the risk of implant failure and peri-implantitis. Give up completely for at least two weeks before and after surgery — ideally for the whole period of osseointegration (3–6 months). We explain this at the consultation.
Absolute ones: cancer during chemotherapy, poorly controlled diabetes (HbA1c > 8), bisphosphonate therapy, severe immunodeficiency. Relative ones (which require preparation): gum disease, smoking, hypertension. Most patients are candidates for implants. We establish this at the consultation.
Just like a natural tooth: brush twice a day, use floss or an irrigator, and have a professional cleaning every six months. No special products are needed. Regular check-ups are enough — and the implant lasts for decades.
